Our regular office hours are 8:30 am-5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. There is an emergency, after-hours hotline available 24/7.

Mike Dubas, AMS, CMCA

Chief Executive Officer

As Chief Executive Officer, Mike is ultimately responsible for everything that affects your association. His primary role is to keep our properties on the correct path toward proper outcomes and to deliver the leadership, counsel and support our clients expect.  He manages the team using best practices to provide exceptional customer service, and methods to track Key Performance indicators to foster a strong sense of community.

Mike joined Beacon in 2018 after working extensively in the luxury high rise market in Miami Beach, Florida.  

Michael maintains Community Association Management licenses in both Georgia and Florida and is proudly a designee of the Community Association Institute as a CMCA and AMS.

STEVE WEIBEL

Chairman and Founder

Steve has owned and operated management firms in Georgia and California over the last 40 years and is the former CEO and Founder of Common Interest Management, the largest community management company in the San Francisco Bay area. After relocating to Georgia to be closer to family, Steve founded and grew Community One Associates into one of the largest community association management companies in Georgia. He sold Community One Associates in 2009 to FirstService Residential, a publicly-traded company on the NYSE.

In 2011, Steve Weibel and Lisa Simmons founded Beacon Management Services which specializes in homeowner associations, high rise condominiums, mixed use developments, commercial condominiums, large masterplanned communities and other properties of distinction.  Beacon has experienced double digit growth and been named one of Georgia’s top rated management companies for eight consecutive years by the Atlanta Business Chronicle Book of Lists.

LISA SIMMONS

President and Founder

Lisa focuses on livability, customer service, the customer experience and helping to oversee customer facing staff members. Lisa was formerly the Vice President of the Multifamily Division of Community One Associates. Prior to that, she was a senior manager with Cousins Properties Inc. for 13 years where she oversaw marketing for many of Atlanta’s most significant office and retail buildings. She was also one of Beazer Homes’ top salespeople where she oversaw the operations for two of their largest communities including Atlantic Station.

She is a licensed realtor, accomplished high rise property manager and a graduate of University of North Carolina with a BA in Business and Marketing.

SHARI HOPKINS

VICE PRESIDENT OF CORPORATE OPERATIONS

As Vice President of Corporate Operations, Shari Hopkins is charged with the oversight and efficient execution of major company initiatives, including technology implementation and training, process improvements, and property operations.

Shari joined Beacon Management in 2016 as a Customer Support representative where she excelled in handling various homeowner issues. In every role Shari has had with Beacon Management, it was evident that she enjoyed undertaking new challenges and making a positive impact on operational practices. She has developed a background in working with the leadership team to improve operations, execute strategic company initiatives and elevate overall performance while being a “Super User” for Vantaca, our software platform.

Shari holds her BA in Psychology from Valdosta University. Shari was born in Kingston, Jamaica but has lived in Georgia since 2001. She is heavily involved in community service and event planning in her spare time.

Tasha Fulk

Vice President of Declarant Services

Tasha oversees key relationships with Beacon’s developer and homebuilder clientele including many large, publicly traded companies. Her duties include mentoring community managers with declarant specific portfolios to ensure smooth operations during build out and transition to homeowner-controlled associations. 

Tasha has successfully managed approximately $200 million of assets in Georgia including Twin Lakes, the fastest growing masterplanned community in 2021 and 2022.   Tasha is a performance-driven leader who excels at delivering results for Beacon’s homebuilders, board members and homeowners.

CHRIS KOOZER

Senior ACCOUNTANT

Chris is responsible for all day-to-day financial operations, billing, receivables, collections, and payables for many of our clients, particularly those with complex accounting needs including many of our high rise condominium properties. Chris has overseen the financial reporting for several properties with bank loans of up to $6.1 six million. Chris worked with Steve Weibel at Community One Associates for 10 years, and is considered one of the best accounting professionals in the community association industry. He is a Penn State University graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. Prior to joining us, he worked in Corporate Finance and Accounting at UPS for 20 years.

BRIAN GAY

SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

Brian Gay is an experienced accounting specialist responsible for myriad financial tasks that support our customers. The Beacon accounting team handles the day-to-day financial operation of community associations, including:

Generating monthly financial statements; budget input and analysis; working with the manager to update Vantaca; working with law firms to pursue delinquent assessments; processing payments to vendors; association tax payments; and assisting board members.

Before joining Beacon, Brian’s talent in accounting extends over 20 years for large multinational corporations in California where he worked for Chevron, Kaiser Permanente, and Clorox. He graduated from Los Medanos/John F. Kennedy with a degree and Business Administration and Accounting.

IVETTE GOMEZ

SENIOR CLOSING MANAGER

Ivette Gomez, senior closing manager, is a 30-year real estate professional in Georgia and her home state of New Jersey. She manages the closing department for Beacon Management handling hundreds of details, transactions and service requests from lenders, attorneys, homeowners and realtors. Ivette oversees the closing process for new construction properties as well as resales for residential and commercial units. Afterwards she ensures the precise transition of new owners and new client information to Vantaca, Beacon’s software platform.

Ivette is well known in the community association industry having spent six years with Steve Weibel’s prior company and seven for another Atlanta management company. She has been honored to have received awards for the employee of the year, best customer service, and recognition for five years of outstanding service.

She also enjoyed a long tenure in the multifamily industry and the Housing Authority of Union City, New Jersey.

Christin Teasley

Customer Service Supervisor

Christin joined Beacon Management in 2017 bringing over 10 years of experience in the property management industry. Driven by problem-solving, she takes pride in providing a world-class customer experience with each interaction. Because of her ability to problem solve and build key relationships with our business partners, she was promoted to Customer Service Supervisor. In this role, she oversees, trains and mentors a team of customer service representatives to provide exceptional service to all stakeholders, both internal and external. Christin is also the recipient two Core Values Awards from Beacon Management Services.  She holds a B.A. in Business Administration from Piedmont University.   In her spare time, she loves to travel, read and spend time with her family.

Jacob Collins

Director of Mobile Maintenance

As the Director of Mobile Maintenance, Jacob leads Beacon Management’s Maintenance Division by supervising its technicians, managing online work orders, and ensuring that all maintenance requests are completed to the highest quality standards.  Jacob also oversees bid procurement and provides exceptional project management services for large capital reserve expenditures. He assists association managers and board members with the guidance needed to properly coordinate larger projects to their completion.

Jacob has over seventeen years of facilities management and building engineer experience for a variety of property types including retail, hospitality, and commercial office space.
